I was inspired by a knit designer I follow to make this adorable summer scarf which can also double as a head wrap. Even as we head in to summer, there can still be some cooler days and evenings, so I wanted to have a light weight option for keeping cozy.

The design of this piece is so simple but gives a beautiful texture reminiscent of knit. Using a category 3 yarn helps to keep it feeling light. I used Bernat Softee Baby in Little Mouse and I love the neutral color, but I think it would also look amazing in some vibrant colors with a crisp white button down shirt. There are so many options to style it!

I won’t go on too much about this piece, it’s a nice, quick and simple make and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

PATTERN AND SIZING NOTES
– This crochet summer scarf / head wrap is made as one piece from side to side.
– The stitch used here for the body of the crochet summer scarf is single crochet in the back loop only.
– The scarf is worked in turned rows.
– You must know how to increase and decrease single crochet to make this crochet summer scarf / head wrap
– To make edges cleaner, you can do a SC through both loops in the last stitch of every row, but it isn’t necessary as it will be covered by slip stitches all the way around the outside of the scarf.
– Stitch count for each round will be indicated in parentheses ( ) at the end of the row.
