It’s been a looooong winter this year. Less so because of the linear passage of time and more so because everyone is feeling the effects of the current state of the world. But the sun is starting to shine, the birds are singing a little more cheerfully and it’s time to break out some gorgeous projects like the Beautemps Crochet Wrap, which will keep you warm and stylish while enjoying a little more time in the beauty of nature.

I used a 4wt yarn for this wrap so that it was a warm and cozy enough wrap to transition us in to spring, or in to fall later on. The design is simple, it’s just a series of spaces to create the striped design on the outside edges of this crochet wrap.

As with most of my projects, this is a highly customizable piece. If you want a wider wrap, that drapes lower, you simply have to add more chains to your starting chain. If you want to make it taller, you simply add more sets of rows. You can also customize with fringe if desired, or pom poms or any type of edging you like. But I kept mine simple to allow for more interpretations for you.

Whether you are making this for yourself or a loved one, this is an easy and fast crochet wrap to make and is one of those pieces which lends itself to mindless crochet while bingeing on Netflix 🙂 I hope you have as much fun creating this easy crochet wrap as I did!
